From Atlanta:
Follow I85 east to Spartanburg, S.C., then turn north on I26 to Asheville, N.C. Turn west on I40 and then southwest on US 23/74 toward Waynesville, N.C.
From Richmond: Follow I85 south and west to Durham, N.C., then turn west on I40 through Asheville to follow US 23/74 southwest toward Waynesville, N.C.
From Knoxville:
Follow I40 east, past the Maggie Valley exit, until intersecting US 23/74 south and west toward Waynesville, N.C.
From Birmingham:
Follow I59 north toward Chattanooga until reaching I24 and follow it east. Exit to I75 north toward Knoxville for about 20 miles. Exit east on US 64/74 toward Dillsboro and Sylva

Local Directions:
From Waynesville (east): Follow US 23/74 west past Waynesville. Note your mileage as you go under the Blue Ridge Parkway. Wind down the lush valley and relish 4.3 miles of thick forest and blooming rhododendrun thickets. Just past mile marker 90, turn right on Skyland Drive. Enjoy the pleasant 2.3 mile drive past peaceful family farms and then along the meandering Scott's Creek. Pass under the railroad trestle, then pass Upper North Fork Road. Just past 2 fishing cabins on the left, make a hard right turn on gravel North Fork Road. Make the gentle climb along North Fork 1.8 miles, passing 5 waterfalls, untill you pass an old tobacco barn on the right. Turn left just past the barn onto Branch Falls Trail. Go through the gate and follow the bubbling Big Branch creek to the end. You have just arrived - in heaven!
From Sylva (west): Follow US 23/74 east past Sylva. Get in the left lane. Just 1/4 mi past exit 85, turn left at a little gas station onto Steeple Road. Proceed past the country church with the white steeple to the "T" intersection. Turn right on Skyland Drive along the bank of Scott's Creek for 2.3 mi and then turn left on North Fork Road. Make the gentle climb along North Fork 1.8 miles, pass 5 whispering waterfalls, until you see an old tobacco barn on the right. Turn left just past the barn onto Branch Falls Trail. Go through the gate and follow the bubbling Big Branch Creek to the end of the road. You have just arrived - in heaven!
